I’m Alina, a 17-year-old student from China exploring how technology can be redesigned for fairness.

Growing up in rural China and later studying in Hong Kong and the UK, I’ve witnessed inequalities across education, labour, and opportunity first-hand.

​Now, I’m working to use the growing presence of technology as a leverage point to recode systems of power, ensuring that the algorithms shaping our daily lives are recalibrated for equity and empowerment, not discrimination.
